New Working Group 6: From MOF Research to Real-World Applications
We are pleased to announce the launch of Working Group 6: Academia–Industry Collaboration and Technology Translation.
The newly established Working Group will focus on strengthening the connection between academic MOF research and industrial applications. WG6 aims to support the translation of innovative metal–organic framework technologies into real-world solutions by fostering collaboration between researchers, industrial partners, and end-users across the MOF value chain.
The main objectives of WG6 are to:
- strengthen academia–industry collaboration within the MOF community;
- identify industrial challenges and application needs to guide future research and innovation;
- promote industrially relevant benchmarking, validation, and performance assessment of MOF technologies;
- support technology transfer, scale-up, commercialization, and market adoption pathways;
- maximize the societal and economic impact of MOF-based innovations.
WG6 will be led by Dr Lisa Sun, Assistant Professor at the University of Birmingham, with Dr Selina Ambrose, Product Manager at Promethean Particles, serving as Co-Leader.
Their complementary academic and industrial expertise will play an important role in expanding EU4MOFs’ engagement with industry and supporting the next steps toward technology translation.
