EU4MOFs Training School MOF Tech Transfer: Market and Industry Perspective

Birmingham, 1–2 October 2026

Online registration is now open for the EU4MOFs Training School “MOF Tech Transfer: Market and Industry Perspective”, which will take place on October 1–2, 2026, at the University of Birmingham, UK, in a hybrid format.

The two-day Training School will explore how MOFs can move from cutting-edge academic research towards industrial applications, commercialisation, and real-world market opportunities.

Hosted by EU4MOFs WG6 leaders Dr Selina Ambrose and Dr Lisa Sun, the event will bring together researchers, industry professionals, technology-transfer experts, and innovators to exchange knowledge and discuss the key steps involved in translating promising MOF technologies from the laboratory to the market.

What will participants gain?

The programme will provide insights into:

  • industry expectations and market needs;
  • technology transfer and commercialisation pathways;
  • scale-up and technology-readiness challenges;
  • intellectual property and innovation;
  • successful academia–industry collaboration;
  • career opportunities in industry, innovation, and technology transfer.

The Training School is designed for researchers and professionals interested in understanding the pathway from fundamental MOF research to practical implementation, industrial uptake, and commercialisation.
